Digital Health
Digital shift is now reaching the healthcare sector thanks to the growing robustness of the digital tools made available and the decreasing costs of even more powerful devices. Digital health includes mobile health (mHealth), health information technology (IT), wearable devices, telehealth and telemedicine, and personalized medicine. Digital health is a multi-disciplinary domain involving many stakeholders, including clinicians, researchers and scientists with a wide range of expertise in healthcare, engineering, social sciences, public health, health economics and data management.
Ab.Acus contributes to the innovation in the field of Digital Health through their technical and domain expertise that touch innovative algorithms based on Artificial Intelligence, pioneering architecture for cloud-based platform and wearable devices. Ab.Acus has developed a proprietary platform (QMP) that has helped in making a step-forward in the digital health field through the integration of a large set of sensors and data collectors as well as innovative algorithm based on data fusion techniques able to extract innovative indices and parameters that allow the “digital management” of chronic patients. Our research efforts are constantly focus not only on the technical innovativeness but also on the data management, ethical and privacy issues that represent the points still open in the massive spread of this paradigm.
Last research trends in the field of digital health are even more focused on the concept of exposome as one of the cornerstone for precision medicine. Ab.Acus is member of the International Exposome Network as partner of the LongITools project where our role is mainly focused on designing an innovative platform and algorithms able to manage the exposome at large through a transparent and ubiquitous approach. The outcomes coming from this project and our research activities could potentially transform digital health bringing new flexible tools that can concur in spreading the 4P medicine paradigm.

The Youth-GEMs project is a groundbreaking research initiative aimed at significantly reducing mental suffering and illness among European youth in the next 5-10 years. By identifying actionable markers for mental health trajectories in young people, [...]
INFINITY
INFINITY - Disruptive gait analysis platform that uses the properties of RF communication to compute clinical gait parameters, during walking along paths with custom shapes.
SPEAKapp
SPEAKapp is an internal research project with the aim of exploiting novel Artificial Intelligence branch of Natural Language Processing (NLP) in the field of clinical evaluation of neurodevelopmental disorders and cognitive impairment.
longITools
LongITools is a European research project studying the interactions between the environment, lifestyle and health in determining the risks of chronic cardiovascular and metabolic diseases.
mResist
The primary objective of the m-Resist project is to develop a therapeutic program that draws on the support of mobile devices to actively involve patients with treatment-resistant schizophrenia, to make them capable of self-managing their own illness, as well as to support their careers.
Clockwork
The main goal of the Clockwork project is to create a healthy and comfortable environment by supporting middle-aged to older adults in the improvement of their circadian rhythms. Particularly, the solution will target shift workers, such as healthcare professionals, who are greatly affected by chronodisruption, which can lead to health issues, long absences or early retirement.
